Description of Ventobacco®2 Wireless Barn Monitor System
This system enables user to monitor up to 2304 barns equipped with Ventobacco® VK 981(A)or VK 981(RH) Smart curing controls.
Of these, up to 2048 barns can be connected wirelessly.
Up to 256 barns can be monitored through wired hubs and mux.
Data exit port is located inside VK 981 Smart control’s front door & can be accessed by opening it.
Connect on this port 2 wire cable (telephone cable or other) respecting polarity.
This cable will transfer curing data from each VK981 Smart control through wireless adaptor (transmitter) to the wireless receiver connected on your PC.
Data can be transferred through hubs and adaptors either wirelessly or through wires as described hereunder.
When you are using any number of wireless adaptors (transmitters), your computer needs just a single wireless receiver.
You can setup up to 256 wireless adaptors to communicate with a wireless receiver.
Each wireless adaptor can be either connected on a single barn (standalone) or on a hub (each hub may have up to 8 barns wired on it).
Any combination of hub sets & wireless standalone sets can be attached to the same system.
All wireless adaptors are powered with 12V DC so it is easy to get a single type of power supply or power packs to Mains (120VAC or 230VAC).
This system is designed to use wireless transceiver modems from local markets, on which VV adds some hardware parts and then programs the modems with the Ventobacco®2.12 software to operate as transmitters (adaptors) or receivers accordingly, with minimal user intervention and basic technical knowledge, as described on the Ventobacco Wireless detailed manual .
